A new forest sector joint letter on working group on Forests and Nature December 2019

UEF is directly associated in a new joint letter from the European forests and forest-based sector’s representatives.

 

This letter was sent to the European Commission authorities on the framework of the current process about the European Green Deal. 

 

This joint statement was signed by:

  • Confederation of European Forest Owners - CEPF
  • European State Forest Association – EUSTAFOR
  • European Farmers and European Agri-Cooperatives – Copa and Cogeca
  • Union of South European Sylvicultors - USSE
  • European Organisation of Agricultural Rural and Forestry Contractors - CEETTAR
  • European Landowners Organisations - ELO
  • Union of European Foresters - UEF

 

And sent to: 

Ms Céline Gauer, Deputy Secretary-General responsible for Policy Coordination

Mr Daniel Calleja-Crespo, Director-General of DG ENV

Mr Mauro Raffaele Petriccione, Director General of DG CLIMA

This new letter stressed the importance of the former joint statement signed in October 2019 on the same topic and gave some major concerns about this on running process.
