UEF attended last Forest based Industries meeting in Brussels

The European Commission organized in Brussels a meetiing of the advisory group on Forest bases Industries (FBI) 20.09.2018.

UEf has a seat in this advisory group and Marten Gustafson attended the meeting as our representative.

The meeting was the last meeting concerning “Guidelines for cascading of biomass”.

Now its up to EU Parliament to decide about this important topic, after a deep preparation by the Commission.

UEF signed a “joint statement letter” with other forest organizations just before the meeting with good impact.

The next step will be for the EU Commission to implement cascading into the “circular economy”.
