Celebration of the World Wetlands Day at Akrotiri Peninsula The Foresters'' Association - Graduates of the Cyprus Forestry College participates this year in ten days events (02/02/2007 - 11/02/2007) organised for the celebration of the World Wetlands Day at Akrotiri Peninsula. The events organise by the Akrotiri Community Council and the Akrotiri Environmental Education and Information Centre, together with many other organisations. Events supported by the Ramsar Convention Bureau.
During the ten days the Association we participate in the following events:2/2/07 Main event at Akrotiri Community Centre, including theatre play and short presentations 18:20-20:004/2/07 Presentation at AEEIC: ‘Introduction to the bats of Cyprus’ 10:00-12:006/2/07 Educational visit at AEEIC of the Episkopi Village Primary School 08:30-12:307/2/07 Bird watching trip at Akrotiri Wetlands. Meeting point: AEEIC 10:00-12:008/2/07 Cleaning campaign at turtle beach. Meeting point: AEEIC 10:00-13:0010/2/07 Botanical trip at Akrotiri Wetlands.
